This refresher course is relevant to those candidates who passed Level 2 Awards in Food over 3 or more years ago.

If you work in a food related business (within the catering, manufacturing or the retail sector) and handle food on a daily basis, it is imperative that you keep up to date with food hygiene regulations. It provides candidates with a reminder of the following:

  • Take personal responsibility for following food safety procedures
  • Understand the importance of personal hygiene
  • Receive and store food safely
  • Prepare, cook and hold food safely
  • To carry out assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner

  • Refresh the candidates knowledge of food safety
  • Complete the CIEH Level 2 Food Safety qualification portfolio

  • Course Duration: ½ day programme (3 hour training session or remote completion of workbook)
  • Assessment: 1 hour, 30 question, multiple choice exam
  • OFQCAL Accredited: No
  • Prerequisite: CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety

This refresher course is also available for those who have completed the CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Manufacturing
